At Vip District, we are taking a significant step towards accessibility to ensure our platform is usable for all users, including those with visual impairments.

Meeting accessibility standards such as WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) not only brings us closer to being a more inclusive platform but also opens up new opportunities for companies seeking tools aligned with their values and needs.

This effort aligns with the European Accessibility Act, which will come into effect in June 2025. This regulation extends its scope beyond public administration websites to include e-commerce platforms, requiring them to be accessible to all users.

A Platform for Everyone

Here are some of the adjustments and improvements we’ve made to ensure that users with visual limitations can enjoy the best experience.

We began this adaptation with our general portal and our flagship product, Vip Savings, as it is used by over 7 million users.

• General colour adjustments: We have refined state and alert colours to ensure better contrast. These changes do not affect corporate or personalised colours, so the visual identity of each client remains intact.
• Limited use of primary colours: In some cases, the portal’s primary colour did not provide sufficient contrast, creating accessibility challenges. To address this, we reduced the prominence of the primary colour in certain components, replacing it with a more readable generic alternative.
